This and WeNeedALaw.ca are the two newest pro-motion 312 sites on the web. Their ‘facts’, ‘evidence’ and ‘myths’ sections are full to the brim of the same antichoice rhetorical garbage I’ve seen everywhere else, but I’m concerned because they seem to be well funded and coordinated. I’d LOVE to know who’s paying for this (and it’d better not be anyone in the government!)

The debate in the House just finished… Francoise Boivin, Hedy Fry, Gordon O’Connor and Niki Ashton spoke out against Motion-312! They were awesome, articulate, intelligent and brought up all the right points!

If you have a prochoice MP, don’t forget to write them and thank them for their public stance. If their position is unknown, write and ask! See if you can get a solid answer (and good luck with that!) If they’re antichoice, write and let them know you care deeply about this issue and hope that their personal feelings wont get between them and the Supreme Court.

Yup. That’s about right. Happy to report that the M 3-12 ‘debate’ today wasn’t so much a debate as Woodworth talking for a few minutes, then getting his ass verbally handed to him by everyone else who spoke, INCLUDING the CON party whip!

- Currently I’m expecting my second child. My first is 5 years old.
- I’m married to an awesome ally, my husband Ryan.
- 4 years ago I had an abortion after my IUD failed.
- Anyone who tells me that I don’t know what I’m talking about or thinks they know better than I do re: abortion, women’s rights, M 3-12, is talking out of their ass.
Canadian women are not and will not be returned to 2nd class citizen status because of the contents of our uteri. The fetus currently residing in my womb is there because I CHOOSE it to be. Nothing and noone has the power to tell me, or any woman, when/if/how many children we will have, except our own hearts and minds. It’s really that simple. #NOdebate
